4th ESO: Photographs of a changing world.

Students of 4th ESO at "La Ribera" (Almonte, Spain) will find this video interesting. Here you have a series of photos that show key moments in recent (and not so recent) history. Please, note that some of them may be considered distasteful or shocking, but they certainly depict some terrible moments in history which should not be forgotten.

Watch the video and enjoy it.

And for diversificación students, you can watch this video about the use of the present continuous. It features the Simpsons performing different actions. Watch and say if the following sentence is TRUE or FALSE: In de video, Homer is dancing in a discotheque.

I hope you like the video.

  3. I´am Rocío Cortés.

The photo that imacted me most is the firefighter with baby in arms. This ocurred in the bombing of Vietnam. There were many person deceased, and among so many people killed was this baby. The firefighter rescued him, but later realized that the baby had deceased.
The baby was very vary slim, almost didn´t wear clothes and was bleeding from his head.
The firefighter is lookig at him with a happy face because he had branned, but didn´t know that baby had died.
The firemen did a great job because he had risked his life to save others.

  4. Thank you very much for your comment, Rocio. I agree, the photo of the firefighter is really moving, most of all because we know that the child he is holding is already dead.
Just one comment, the photograph wasn't taken in Vietnam, but after a terrorist attack in Oklahoma City, in 1995. It was the worst terrorist attack in the U.S.A. until the attack of the Twin Towers in September 2001.

If you want to read more about it, you could go to wikipedia, on the following URL:
