PAU correction for 2nd bachillerato E

Hello. Here are the answers for the rest of the PAU exercises.

 5- This statement is TRUE. As stated in the text: “the exciting life on the 16-nation orbital platform had amply compensated for not enjoying common comforts" (lines 5-6)

 6- This is TRUE, since we can read in the text that, “Having married his fiancée Ekaterina Dmitriev in August via a satellite video link from space, Malenchenko went straight into married life enthusiastically(lines 8-9)

7- BORING, UNINTERESTING, DULL

8- GO ON, KEEP (ON)

9- CREW   (Line 3)

10- ENJOYABLE, JOYFUL, JOYOUS, OVERJOYOUS, JOYLESS...

11- When did Edward Lu meet his fiancée

12- Malenchenko had a walk around the station.

13- There are two possibilities:
 - A lot of information is being given to the journalists
 - The journalists are being given a lot of information.

14- If I ever went to space, I would miss my family and friends terribly.

  1. In number 5, is correct the sentence ''It's a small price to pay not to be able to eat your favourite food or have a shower...''?

  2. Yes, you can quote that part of the text too. I would include the whole of Lu's statement: "It's a small price to pay not to be able to eat your favourite food or take a hot shower if you have the opportunity to live and work in space."

    Also, remember that you should elaborate your answer a little:

    This statement is TRUE...etc.
