SLAVERY

Slavery is a key element in the history and culture of the U.S.A. It existed there from the beginning of the colonial period until it was abolished by president Abraham Lincoln in the 1860s. Even after that, the policy of ratial segregation in some states forced black people to live as second class citizens for decades.

  2. Thank you for your comment, José. I agree that we shouldn't be treated differently because of the colour of our skin. If you are interested in racism and segregation in the U.S.A., I advise you to look for the speeches of Martin Luther King, specially one that begins "I have a dream...". You'll find it easily in the internet.

Bye, and keep visiting the blog from time to time.

    1. Hello, I'm Rocio Martinez De los Santos, slavery has been a lot of people who over time has been reduced, because the countries have developed, but there are still countries where there are these kinds of slavery. Everyone should have equal rights.

  9. Hello
I have read about slavery in America. Is surprising how they lived and worked in poor conditions. From colonization to Abraham Lincoln had many black slaves. The skin color does not matter but the heart of people. We need to end inequalities in the world.
    Bye.
