LEAONARD CHESHIRE DIABILITY: Making the world a place for all.

"Leonard Cheshire" is a charity which provides care and opportunities to disabled people. It offers a wide range of services, including homes where disabled people can live. Click on the link below to access its website. This time you will have to use your skills with ICTs as well as with English. Browse the site and find the information necessary to say if the following sentences are TRUE or FALSE. Each sentence gives you a clue to find the information.

LEONARD CHESHIRE DISABILITY

1. The values of "Leonard Cheshire Disability" are: Valuing the individual, working together, honesty, creativity and energy.

2. One of the services that "Leonard Cheshire Disability" provides in the UK is Acquired Brain Injury services.

3. One of the events that "Leonard Cheshire Disability" takes part in is the London Marathon. It will take place on april 25th 2012.

4. If you want to get involved and help improve diabled people's lives, one of the things you can do is become a volunteer working with Leonard Cheshire Disability.

5. To get started as a volunteer, you can contact the Volunteer and enabling officer, Begoña Méndez.

    -The question one is true.
    -The question two is true, but "Leonard Cheshire Disability" has more services to more people with other disabilities.
    -The quiestion three is true. The London Marathon is 22 April 2012.
    -The question four is true.

    Thank you all for your answers. I hope you haven't found it too hard to look for the information in the website. I can tell you that working with disabled people was a very, very rewarding experience that will stay with me forever.

    Next you will have to write a formal letter applying for a position as a volunteer in the "Leonard Cheshire Disability" organization, so I hope you have read the "voluteering" section carefully...
