I Still Haven't Found (What I'm Looking For)

Sometimes we keep on looking for something, and we don't really know what it is...

This is a song by rock band U2. It is the second track from their 1987 album The Joshua Tree. The song was a hit, becoming the band's second consecutive number-one single on the US Billboard. Like much of The Joshua Tree, the song was inspired by the group's interest in American music. "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" exhibits influences from gospel music and its lyrics describe spiritual yearning.
Now play the video again and complete the lyrics. Use the words below.

run        fire       mountains       chains       devil

 I have climbed highest _____________
I have run through the fields
Only to be with you
Only to be with you
I have____________
I have crawled
I have scaled these city walls
These city walls
Only to be with you

But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for

I have kissed honey lips
Felt the healing in her fingertips
Burning like a ____________
This burning inside her

I have spoke with the tongue of angels
I have held the hand of a ____________
It was warm in the night
I was cold as a stone

But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for

I believe in the Kingdom Come
Then all the colors will bleed into one
Bleed into one
But yes I'm still running

You broke the bonds
And you loosed the _______________
Carried the cross
Of my shame
Oh my shame
You know I believe it

But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for

  2. Hello mister José Ángel. This song is very beautiful, U2 is a great group. The live concert sounds regular, but good. "I Still Have not Found What I'm Looking For" I liked it, and send it to my friends to hear it. I recommend you listen to this song "Kansas - Dust in the wind", this song we really like to my mother and me. I hope someday put here. Greetings... :)
